The cooperation with universities in Africa focuses on Ghana and Tanzania (in each case one partner university). In addition to that academics on the departmental level cooperate with institutions in South Africa.
In cooperation with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Ghana, and Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the department of Urban and Regional Planning (Fakultät Raumplanung) at TU Dortmund University offers the postgraduate course “Regional Development Planning and Management in Developing Countries (SPRING)” within the SPRING network for graduates from developing countries in Africa.
